The benefits of spaying or neutering your pet.

Many people have misconceptions about spaying or neutering their pet. Some owners believe that it is important for
their female pet to have one litter. Others feel that it may make their dog "less of a man" to be neutered.
Simply put, this is just not true. In fact, it is usually in a pet's best interest to be spayed or neutered.

One of the most obvious benefits of spaying and neutering, or altering, your pet is that you play an active role
in helping to keep the pet population under control. By doing this, you help other pets find homes, and you may even be
helping your community financially. In addition to these benefits, spaying or neutering may provide some health benefits of your pet as well.

Having your pet spayed or neutered greatly reduces or elimates the risk of certain types of cancers and diseases.
Being struck by a car or getting into a fight is not healthy for your pet. However, many pet owners set their
pets up for this fate by refusing to alter them. As a result, many males will try to escape their yard to mate.
This usually results in unwanted litters, and it can put your pet in dangerous situations as well.

Please do the responsible thing. Have your vet spay or neuter your pet.
