WILLIAM FITZHUGH (1651-1701)







Ancestry: Bedford, England.  Parents were Henry Fitzhugh (1614-1664) and Mary King.  He left Bedford in about 1670 .  Many details: Fitzhugh Family History and Annandale History.  William was an attorney, tobacco plantation owner, burgess, and militia officer in Stafford County, Virginia.

Descendants:  His descendants intermarried into many fine families including Washington, Lee, and Mason.  Many fine homes were built by his descendants on his lands: Fitzhugh Homes and Homesites    See also Family Tree DNA
